Gamer Survey

As part of our ongoing customer research, we recently asked 200 gamers to tell us what they look for when buying a gamer chair. We thought we’d publish the results on our new blog as we found them quite interesting.

We asked 200 gamers to choose the most important aspect of a gamer chair, with the options available limited to Price (i.e. cheap), Manufacturer/Brand, Functionality (speakers, vibrator packs etc), style or quality.
Interestingly (especially in the current climate) only 12% of respondents selected price as the motivating factor. Of those 12%, the average price they expected to pay was £42.
Another 12% of respondents selected style as the motivating factor, with the average price they’d expect to pay coming in at £67.
Just 6% of respondants selected Manufacturer/Brand as the reason they would buy a product, with the average price they’d want to pay a lowly £41. This suggests no single brand has captured the market yet (good news!) and that current popular brands are viewed as budget brands.
34% of respondents cited functionality as the main reason to select a product. This group of gamers are also prepared to pay for the extras with the average price they would consider fair coming in at £110.
And last but not least, 36% of gamers chose quality as the main reason for selecting a product, with £84 the average price they would pay.
So, what group would you fall under? Let us know by commenting below.
